Blue Veins

“When I was surrounded by the world
You were the only one who came
And you were the only one astounded, which kept me grounded
As the other girls thrashed my very name

Then I looked over
Just in time to see her smiling back at me
And saying everything’s okay
As long as you’re inside my blue veins, your blue veins

Yeah, and the feeling that you gave me
No matter what I do or where I go
It always will remain and those who would enslave me
To get to me must get past you and will have no luck
‘Cause you’ll protect me from all pain, it’s true, they’ll have no luck”

Dress – Alexander Wang / Nail Polish – Essie Butler Please / Liner – MAC

The official color of summer is always blue. Every hue evokes the atmosphere of tranquil possibilities of an endless season from the ocean we play in to the sky we reach for. Blue is so complementary, that overdoing it is quite the challenge. Whether it is adding a flick of navy to your everyday cat eye or switching it up with an electric blue leather dress, it adds just enough edge and excitement rather than the typical neutral counterparts. So this summer dare to mix it up with everyone’s new favorite color.

One line

“Do you remember the first kiss?
Stars shooting across the sky
To come to such a place as this
You never left my mind

I’m watching from the wall
As in the streets we fight
This world all gone to war
All I need is you tonight

And I draw a line
To your heart today
To your heart from mine
A line keep us safe

All through the rising sun
All through the circling years
You were the only one
Who could have brought me here

And I draw a line
To your heart today
To your heart from mine
One line to keep us safe”

1st Button Down  – Zara / 2nd – Naven / 3rd – Helmut Lang

The White Button-Down. The most classic, essential piece in any wardrobe. A white button-down acts as a blank canvas to be built upon like a piece of art representing the personality of individual style. Layer an array of eclectic jewelry and a jacket for a tougher vibe or leave an extra button undone to give a peak of lace for a sexy night out. Hundreds of years later, the white button-down continues to be an essential in fashion.

“Hey, hey, mama, said the way you move, gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove.
Oh, oh, child, way you shake that thing, gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting.
Hey, hey, baby, when you walk that way, watch your honey drip, can’t keep away.

Ah yeah, ah yeah, ah, ah, ah. Ah yeah, ah yeah, ah, ah, ah.
I gotta roll, can’t stand still, got a flaming heart, can’t get my fill
Eyes that shine burning red, dreams of you all through my head.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah.

Hey, baby, oh, baby, pretty baby, tell me that you’ll do me now
Hey, baby, oh, baby, pretty baby, do me like you do me now
Didn’t take too long ‘fore I found out, what people mean by down and out.
Spent my money, took my car, started telling her friends she’s gonna be a star.
I don’t know but I been told, a big-legged woman ain’t got no soul.

All I ask for when I pray, steady rollin’ woman gonna come my way.
Need a woman gonna hold my hand, won’t tell me no lies, make me a happy man.
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah”

Madness

“I, I can’t get these memories out of my mind,
And some kind of madness has started to evolve.
(Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma…)
And I, I tried so hard to let you go,
But some kind of madness is swallowing me whole, yeah
(Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma…)

I have finally seen the light,
And I have finally realized
What you mean.

Ooh oh oh

And now I need to know is this real love,
Or is it just madness keeping us afloat?
(Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma…)
And when I look back at all the crazy fights we had,
Like some kind of madness was taking control, yeah
(Ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma…)

And now I have finally seen the light,
And I have finally realized
What you need.

Mmmm…”

“Reckoner
You can’t take it with you
Dancing for your pleasure

You are not to blame for
Bittersweet distractors
Dare not speak its name
Dedicated to all human beings

Because we separate
Like ripples on a blank shore
In rainbows
Because we separate
The ripples on a black shore

Reckoner, take me with you

Dedicated to all human beings”

“You have forsaken
All the love you’ve taken
Sleepin’ on a razor
There’s nowhere left to fall
Your body’s aching
Every bone is breakin’
Nothin’ seems to shake it
It just keeps holdin’ on

Your soul is able
Death is all you cradle
Sleepin’ on the nails
There’s nowhere left to fall
You have admired
Every man desires
Everyone is king
When there’s no one left to pawn”

You Don’t Understand Me

“You don’t understand me
But if the feeling was right
You might comprehend me
And why do you feel the need to tease me
Why don’t you turn it around
It might be easier to please me

And there’s always another point of view
A better way to do the things we do
And how can you know me
And I know you.
If nothing is true

Why do you think that you are doing
But who is the fool, the fool or the fool
that you are fooling.
And maybe I just don’t see the reason
But in the corner of my heart your ignorance is treason.

And there’s always another point of view
A better way to do the things we do
And how can you know me
And I know you.
If nothing is true

You think you know how I feel
Its not that big of a deal
There’s no such thing its not real
Oh-Oh”

Try

“We bide our time
Though the time is fine
Oh to be there, I could be there
Say you’ll be there

You know the way, I
Can’t resist you, I
Said to myself I’ll try

Why do we waste time
Hiding it inside?
I want you to be mine

Now it’s dead and gone
You say what you would’ve done
You would’ve been there,
I wish you’d been there,
I needed you there”
